Back Down South is an ongoing collection of images of structures I stumble upon during my trips into the rural parts of South Carolina. Whether still inhabited or abandoned, I seem to be continuously drawn to the presence of a variety of buildings for multiple reasons. Not intended to be a series of sorts, but more of an extension of my curiosity of how they came to be and why some are abandoned, these images serve as my personal exploration of the southern landscape and ultimately, transforming my trips into something fun and almost like a treasure hunt every time I go.
