Looking At Appalachia

I am pleased to announce that I am now an official contributor of the Looking at Appalachia project. This online archive is put together by Roger May, and attempts to explore the diversity of Appalachia today through photographs fifty years after the War on Poverty. It features ninety two photographers from thirteen states in the region who have submitted photographs over the course of a year, with the project still ongoing into 2015.

It was featured in National Geographic’s blog PROOF and will travel as a print exhibition beginning this year. The Inaugural Looking at Appalachia Exhibition will take place at the Spartanburg County
Public Libraries Headquarters, 151 South Church Street, Spartanburg,
South Carolina.
